Our history

As a leading dental benefits provider for more than 40 years, Delta Dental has always made dental care affordable for as many people as possible through quality group dental plans.

The early years

Founded in 1982, Delta Dental began with a mission to improve access to oral health care.

The 1980s and ‘90s

Delta Dental grew rapidly, securing major contracts. The company also established its philanthropic arm, the Delta Dental Foundation.
